Date: January 28, 2021
Dr. Scott Ragon of Phoenix Integration – Director, Technical Business Development
Ilya Tolchinsky of Phoenix Integration – Lead Application Engineer
Todd Dunnavant PhD of IBM – Executive IT Specialist
This session will describe and demonstrate ModelCenter MBSE, an analysis integration framework for IBM® Rational® Rhapsody®. ModelCenter MBSE allows engineers to integrate Rational® Rhapsody® models with any modeling and analysis tool to validate system architecture and behavior, verify requirements satisfaction, and perform trade studies to optimize the system architecture and design. The results are reduced costs, shortened development times, and higher quality products.
We will demonstrate how engineers can use ModelCenter to automate any engineering analysis tool (COTS tools such as Excel, MATLAB, CATIA, ANSYS, HyperMesh, and Teamcenter, as well as in-house FORTRAN and Python codes, etc.), and connect these tools together to create automated and repeatable engineering process workflows. The individual analysis tools can reside on different operating systems and in different geographical locations. When a workflow is executed, the integrated analysis tools are executed in the order specified by the workflow, and data is automatically linked from tool to tool as needed.
Finally, we will show how engineers can use ModelCenter MBSE to connect the automated workflows to Rational® Rhapsody® model elements for architecture and design validation, behavioral analysis, and optimization, by allowing system engineers to create, update and execute engineering analyses directly from Rational® Rhapsody® to assess system performance against requirements. We will conclude by presenting industry case studies illustrating the use and benefits of the Phoenix Integration integration and automation technology.
